IMPORTANT - Preparation is key for a successful outcome for the day:

  • Please give your baby a good feed RIGHT BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME. If your baby is not due for a feed please wake them for a top up feed, feeding your baby on arrival at the studio will wake your baby and may take at least 45 minutes for your baby to fall back asleep.

  • Please keep your baby awake at least an hour prior to leaving your home. If your baby falls asleep in the car on the way to the studio this is perfect as he/she will be nice and settled on arrival.

  • Dress your baby in a bigger size onesie that zips in the front as its easiest for me to take off and less disturbing for your baby when they’re asleep. Please do not put a singlet on your baby or anything that requires over head removal.

  • Bring lots of bottles and formula if you are not breast feeding. Babies tend to eat a lot more during the session than they would at home. It is also suggested if possible to bring some expressed milk in a bottle if you are breast feeding.

  • I supply wraps, blankets etc that best represent my style of photography so please leave any additional novelty props, accessories or clothes at home.

What to bring:

  • GRAB A DUMMY! Even if you do not plan on letting your baby use one or they are not yet used to using it. Dummies help soothe babies and will also make the session run much smoother. If your baby becomes unsettled in a pose often a dummy will calm them enough to continue without having to get them up, re-settle them & then re-pose them all over again. So please bring a dummy.

  • Nappies! There will most likely be a fair bit of nappy changing through out the session.

  • I will have coffee, tea, water & snacks however if you are bringing toddlers and snacks from home please bring white/dry foods eg. Crackers, Biscuits, etc. No berries or anything that will cause sticky fingers and stain clothes, blankets, furniture etc.

During your session:

The session is very calm, slow, gentle and at the pace of your baby. It involves lots of quiet & gentle soothing to get the best poses. I ask my clients to set aside 2 hours so that we are not rushed.

With the poses I do, a sleeping baby is required. I will never place your baby in an unsafe position just to get a photo. Your babies safety is the MOST important thing to me.

Please remember that every photo shoot & baby is unique and we may not be able to do every pose. It all depends on how your baby is on the day. They are the boss & the star of the show. Regardless if they are awake or asleep I will have a full gallery of images for you to choose from.

Please understand that siblings photos & poses are not guaranteed as siblings are not always willing to co-operate but I will do my best to make them feel comfortable to do so. I may even bribe them with a lolly haha having said that if you live close by to the studio & have toddlers you are more than welcome to come in separate cars & if they become restless Dad can head on home with them, this is completely optional.

Please note:

Your session is exclusive to TWO adults only. Due to limited studio space, we request that all other friends and relatives stay home.

Please do not bring prams into the studio, as mentioned above there is limited space. Car capsule is fine.

What to wear:

There are no shoes allowed in the studio so please wear something that is easiest to slip on and off at the door. Arrive in comfortable clothing. Depending on bubs mood on the day is when I’ll decide if family photos are done at the start, middle or end of your session. So feel free to arrive in your trackies or pyjamas haha whatever floats your boat.

For Mum: You’re more than welcome to select something from the ‘Client Closet’ please click here to view what I have available for you or you can bring something from home that best suits my style. Doesn’t have to be a dress, you can come in a nice top & pants if you more comfortable in something like this. Please avoid wearing fake tan. This helps avoid marks on bubs during family photos & stains on my dresses, blankets & wraps.

For Dad & Siblings: Dress them in neutral or earthy tones. Pants (or shorts) & a T-shirt for the boys is more than fine & will bring a relaxed feel to your session. For colder days feel free to even wear a knit sweater or jacket. The soft texture will definitely bring in all that coziness. Cute little dresses for the girls is always a popular choice but if your little Miss rather wear pant’s that totally fine too. If you need help with styling feel free to reach out & I can send you some Inspo pics.

IMPORTANT: These simple, soft, fresh tones will compliment your new bundle of joy & not take focus off him/her. Please stay away from clothes with strong patterns or pictures/logos as they will out date your images. Please also stay away from dark clothes.
